THE OPPORTUNITY
Galvion has an unique opportunity for a Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis to join our team supporting manufacturing and R&D operations. You will be a trusted financial partner for all internal finance and business leaders. Your charge will be to lead and establish a disciplined control of processes, reporting, and ERP systems. You will bring fresh insights, a business mindset and help us more efficiently support the growth of the business.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
We are looking for an experienced finance professional to lead the monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling activities, working capital management, costing, and ad hoc for two fast growing lines of business. In this highly visible role, you will be relied upon to implement best practices as it pertains to financial operations.
YOU WILL BE EVALUATED ON YOUR ABILITY TO:
Provide budgeting and forecasting support to senior leaders in a matrix organization and support programs and bid teams for new business.
Direct the development and monitoring of KPIs, including costs; working with plant managers to formulate action plans.
Understand ERP systems and how manufacturing and inventory transactions flow.
Develop a meaningful monthly reporting and analysis package to support operational reviews.
Accurately provide monthly reporting and analysis including inventory reconciliation, inventory roll forward reporting, variance analysis, and inventory obsolescence reserve.
Manage inventory including physical to perpetual to general ledger reconciliations, journal entries, audit explanations, and standard costs.
Provide product cost information utilized in month end financial closing.
Understand actual performance to standards and other metrics in order to drive improvement in operational performance.
A well-rounded background in cost accounting, financial analysis, and ERP systems maintenance.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or R&D environment.
Experience with ERP/MRP systems and ability to pull detailed data to support account analysis.
Proactive, continuous-improvement mindset with proven history of implementing new processes and systems.
Advanced proficiency in Excel.
An analytical approach with strong communication skills.
Strong business acumen, ability to manage ambiguity, and confidence to collaborate with and present to senior leadership teams.
Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent combination of education and experience (CPA and/or CMA designation is an asset, but not required)
Prior experience with business intelligence tools such as PowerBI (an asset).
