About Manager, DBE & Workforce Equity

  Our agency\'s Disadvantaged/Small Business and Workforce Equity Manageris responsible for managing our Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)Program, Small Business Development Program, and Workforce Training &Hiring Program. Responsibilities include planning, developing, managing,implementing, and the ongoing evaluation of the performance andcompliance of agency programs. The position is also responsible formanaging the achievement of our program objectives while ensuring thecontinual support of long-term business relationships between our agencyand local businesses of all sizes, government agencies, andcommunity-based organizations in support of greater utilization ofagency projects. Our Disadvantaged/Small Business and Workforce EquityManager serves as the agency\'s Disadvantaged Business EnterpriseLiaison Officer (DBELO) and is responsible for helping us grow itsbusiness inclusion and diversity efforts. This position is alsoresponsible for developing new policies and procedures, updatingexisting practices, aligning and expanding organizational efforts,establishing and developing public agency and private entityrelationships, and implementing proven strategies and policies for bestresults in addressing social and economic equity through, increasedequity in contracting, targeted community engagement and partnershipdevelopment. This position is also responsible for project datacollection, analysis, local and federal reporting, and project supportfor the maximization of the utilization of small diverse businesses andworkforce related to our annual contracting spend. This position mayalso manage technical assistance and/or workforce development funds insupport of our overall utilization goals and commitments to inclusionand equity. Ensure a commitment to safety through consistent andprofessional behaviors in performance of job requirements thatdemonstrate safety is a fundamental value that guides all aspects of ourwork. Perform related duties as required. Minimum 6 years experiencerequired. Serve as a good steward by regularly utilizing our transitsystem to maintain a strong and current understanding of customers\'experiences and of our product and service offerings.
