Objectives of the Position
Manage customs operational activities handled by the GB Hub such as preferential management and customs verification and other relevant country customs operations support assigned to the hub
Ensure compliance in operational procedures, regulatory changes and updates as well as contribute to Global changes and ensure implementation.
Manage performance and development customs foreign trade subordinates
Responsible for risk management pertaining to team including but not limited to access management, data protection, business continuity process and periodic risk management reviews.
Active member of global and regional customs and supply chain community
Main Tasks
Responsible for customs foreign trade operations team targets, performance, deliverables, and development of team members / subordinates
Ensure optimization of Free Trade Agreement benefits where eligible and adherence to rules as stipulated in the respective agreements.
Collaborate and support country customs caretaker in operational matters relevant to team’s scope
Support Business Units in customs analytics and reporting relevant to operations scope, and changes in the Supply Chain product flow where relevant to the scope
Active participation in global, regional and country level projects and initiatives for company wide projects, continuous improvement and business requirement, where relevant to the scope of service
Conform to global and regional customs requirements on reporting, maintenance of country information on dashboards, community reviews, global inquiries responses, initiative participation, etc
Constantly foster process harmonization and efficiency in Customs
Ownership, participation and collaboration on regional customs community and initiatives and projects relevant to supply chain operations serviced by Global Business Service
Requirements
Education
Degree in Business Administration or equivalent, Supply Chain Management, and other Degree with relevant work experienceWorking Experience
Minimum 5 years in Customs & Foreign Trade, international supply chain management in Multinational Company with international exposureTechnical & Professional Knowledge
Customs and International trade knowledge preferred, SAP experience preferred, Business Intelligence Tools, Non-conformance management, good communication & collaboration skillsBASF Asia-Pacific Service Centre was established in 2005.
