The Content Marketing Manager will demonstrate a thorough understanding of Cell and Gene Therapy workflows with an emphasis on CAR-T cell therapy and vector-based gene therapies. Knowledge of the competitive landscape, critical customer and regulatory requirements for the biotech/pharmaceutical industries and internal operational processes is expected.
This position will provide technical leadership in the generation and management of content supporting marketing and training requirements and works closely with global and regional market development, product management, and research and applications teams. The successful candidate in this role will build a strong portfolio of technical contents aligned with strategic business needs. They will also develop and nurture key industry partners to act as champions to increase thought leadership and provide external sources of marketing materials. This Content Marketing Manager acts as a strong industry facing technical voice of the business.
A Day in the Life
Collaborate with market development, application scientists and product management to develop content strategy and roadmaps for key technical collateral required to support strategic business needs. Work with (internal and external) agency partners to develop, deliver, and re-enforce key company capability messaging.
Collaborate with marketing and product management to build cross-business customer journey mapping, content mapping and develop customer-centric awareness and technical nurturing content.
Work with subject matter experts to create compelling technical content for both internal and external channels such as customer facing presentations, web content, collateral, articles, ebooks, infographics and webinars. Ensure that prioritization occurs, and plans are in place for R&D and applications teams to deliver data for content generation. Manage content libraries and channels.
Partner with global and regional market development teams to develop training program and materials for both virtual and in-person training for commercial and field applications teams.
Develop a program to assess, prioritize and plan for technical engagement at key industry conferences in areas of strategic focus. Act as the lead in generating technical program for the events.
Cultivate industry KOL champions through partnered programs for creation of content highlighting company workflows and messaging.
Assist in providing primary market research on key strategic areas as well as coordination of customer interviews, surveys and VOC to provide marketing, R&D and commercial team intelligence on customer needs, competitive landscape as well as market dynamics.
Keys to Success
Education
A bachelor’s degree in a life science scientific field is required. An advanced degree in business or science is preferred.Experience
5 years of experience in the life science or bioprocess industry with a focus on cell therapy/gene therapy
2 years of experience marketing or related role preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Good understanding of the web, web applications/content management systems, and web technologies
Ability to drive projects to completion on time, with a proven track record of prioritizing and leading multiple projects, in a fast-paced environment
Strong customer advocacy and understanding of customer needs, drivers and putting these at the forefront of business decisions
Basic understanding of the sales funnel and experiences in leveraging marketing systems to drive prospects into marketing qualified leads
Basic understanding of relational and social data structure for customer-centric marketing
Must be organized with attention to details
Must have excellent written/oral, listening, and presentation communication skills
Excellent project management skills including the ability to formulate and drive detail plans and metrics to report project progress/health
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
Ability to effectively communicate value propositions and technical information to customers and internal audiences
Ability to travel up to 10%

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $92,900.00–$139,325.00.
This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
