Responsibilities
Preparing monthly and/or quarterly accounting analysis related to employee benefit programs and company insurance programs. (E.g., bonus plans, equity plans, health and welfare, workers compensation, general liability, and automobile liability.)
Accurately track and record financial transactions, using a keen eye for detail to find and correct discrepancies.
Monitoring, analyzing, and summarizing accounting data and trends and producing financial reports or presentations.
Acting as a liaison between Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, and other stakeholders.
Assisting with annual budgeting processes related to employee benefits and company insurance programs.
Qualifications
Strong excel and presentation skills. Able to effectively communicate financial information to business partners, managers, and other interested parties. Must have the ability to present complex issues/data with a high level of clarity and impact.
Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.
Demonstrated working knowledge of accounting for health and welfare plans (including medical, dental, vision, STD, and LTD insurance), equity-based compensation plans, and company insurance plans (including workers compensation, general liability, and automobile liability).
Demonstrated ability to analyze and explain financial implications of employee benefit plans and company insurance plans, in a manner that can be easily understood and assessed by decision makers.
Organizational and time management skills to track and prioritize ongoing projects and tasks. Able to effectively launch, monitor, and evaluate accounting operations and deliverables.
Seven (7) years of relevant accounting experience.
