Role Overview:
Within our network of Master Builders manufacturing plants and distribution centers, this position oversees and coordinate all aspects of bulk transportation of Master Builders liquid admixture to our concrete producer customers across a defined geography within the U.S.
• You will have (2) direct reports that will be responsible for bulk load planning using software tools that enables optimization and utilization of the fleet.
• You will have responsibility to engage and help coordinate the field activities of our primary bulk carrier to ensure we provide reliable and accurate delivery of liquid admixture products.
• You will function as liaison to support effective communication and information sharing between sales, manufacturing, and the bulk transportation community.
• Responsible for effort to improve upon KPIs through good teamwork, execution, and the implementation of innovative idea and continuous improvement.
Essential Skills
High degree of competence in the use of SAP and Ortec freight optimization tool. Must be able to teach, train and develop load planner skills in others.
High degree of competence to lead calls and meetings that build collaboration across functions in support of on time and accurate customer delivery.
Work closely with field personnel, customer service, internal teams, and other external teams to navigate challenges and issues impacting planning, delivery, or customers satisfaction.
Plan, schedule and coordinate specialized load types as well as product transfer and customer returns.
Work with the bulk transportation manager on big picture optimization, including combining outbound and inbound lanes to facilitate maximum utilization of our fleet.
Provide coverage and assistance for your team as need during PTO.
Consistent and relentless safety-first mentality for all part of the business you engage in.
Requirements
Proficiency in SAP, Ortec, Inventory Routing software, and/or bulk chemical fleet management, scheduling software experience
Strong problem-solving ability, accuracy, diligence, and a high level of quality work are required to be successful in this position.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Teams, and Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work in a diverse environment and maintain a professional, client-driven mindset even under adversity.
Must be willing to work M-F, 40-45 hours with some flexibility.
Travel required, but moderate in expectation to meet in person with terminal managers, dispatchers, and drivers within the network you will manage (1-2 times per quarter)
College degree desirable; high school or equivalent required
