Maintenance Technician primarily supports automated assembly machine operations and injection molding through machine changeover and repairs, all machine TPM maintenance, breakdown/emergency repairs but will also support other functions of the Plastics Department as needed including but not limited to, troubleshooting assembly and injection molding machines, maintaining spare parts for department equipment and supporting on-going continuous improvement initiatives. Will work on CI projects as time in schedule allows.
Responsibilities:
Follows Managers direction for assembly operations scheduling, maintenance, and trouble-shooting.Maintaining spare parts inventory.Maintains a clean and safe work environment.Maintains SQF compliance.Assists in maintaining spare parts inventory to support all production equipment.Enters work orders for maintenance issues as needed.Performs TPM checks, 6S, daily and weekly cleaning per Master Cleaning Schedule.Writes standard work as required.Works closely with Quality, Maintenance and Engineering to maintain quality and uptime targets.Committed to continuous improvement and Lean practices.Resource for help-chain call list in the department.May be called in on off shifts and weekends for emergency situations.Supports Molding operation as needed by schedule or work load.Performs other duties as assigned.In the Managers absence, Lead Tech will: communicate machine operations and schedules needs, schedule and work with OEM technicians as needed, give direction to the molding technician, make critical decisions regarding machine breakdowns and scheduling.Mentors and trains shift technicians.Required Qualifications:
2 years Injection Molding maintenance experience including hot runner experience; including pneumatic gate valves; mechanical side cores, and general hydraulic and pneumatic experience (preferred). 2 years mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience, proven track record of experience (preferred).2 years' experience with high-speed automated equipment (preferred).Basic computer skills.Ability to work in a team environment.Excellent attention to detail.Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.Self-starter and leader.Repetitive walking, bending, stooping and ability to lift up to 75 lbs. frequently.Resin loading and conveying experience.Preferred Qualifications:
Lean experience.Bi-axial blow molding or similar background a plus.Experience with Automation and PLC's.Experience/training in developing scientific injection molding processes.Experience in an SQF or AIB certified plant.Experience:
