Description:
The Maintenance Technician must have basic knowledge of Industrial Mechanical Systems, Hydraulic/Pneumatic Systems, Electrical and Control Systems, and Welding (TIG, MIG). Must be able to work as a team or individually. Must comply with all Company Safety rules (LOCKOUT/TAGOUT, ETC) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
• Ensure all assigned daily PMs are completed.
• Ensure production lines are in good mechanical order.
• Aid other teams (Production, Quality- when needed).
• Always follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Safety Practices.
• Setup and visually inspect and tests machinery and equipment.
• Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other personnel to diagnose problems or repair machine.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
Daily job duties- roughly 25% Electrical, 75% Mechanical
Pay reflects experience- $25-34/hr
Work schedule: three shifts 6am-3pm, 12pm-9pm, 9pm-6am Shifts are usually 9-10 hours, while on contract hours will usually be limited to 40, pending any special projects.
Production works 5 days a week, maintenance will work weekends. Must have weekend availability for projects/fix equipment.
-Industrial Mechanical Systems (Ovens, Mixers, Ingredient handling/delivery, product conveying/packaging systems).
-Industrial Electrical Systems (120v-480v, 3ph).
-Low voltage control systems (24v-120v), PLC, and VFD experience (troubleshooting, installation, basic programming).
-Welding/fabrication (TIG, MIG).
-HVAC, Industrial Refrigeration Systems.
-Building Maintenance (basic carpentry, drywall, plumbing)
• Possess the ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact productively with all levels of team personnel and outside contractors.
• Must supply own hand tools, shop tools/equipment is provided by company.
• Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift or scissor lift.
• Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to read and execute work order, write daily reports, and translate equipment manuals.
