　　Job Description

　　AECOM is seeking a Civil Technician to be based in Waterloo, IA. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

　　Performs a variety of tasks in support of the survey, engineering and construction staff.

　　Performs a variety of tasks such as design surveys, construction staking, plats and land surveys.

　　Prepares and completes field survey reports and field safety checks.

　　Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.

　　General understanding of procedures, company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. Viewed as competent in all areas.

　　May oversee work of junior-level technicians. Viewed as competent in all areas.

　　Qualifications

　　Minimum Qualifications:

　　High School Diploma + 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

　　Valid Drivers License

　　Preferred Qualifications:

　　Preferred experienced in Trimble survey equipment, MicroStation ORD, and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.

　　Preferred Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) or the ability to acquire PLS within one year.

　　Non-Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (Iowa) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $23.82 - 41.67/hour.
