Primary Role
The Successful candidate will be responsible for the duties necessary tomaintain and ensure reliable operation of water and/or wastewatertreatment facilities. Maintenance tasks will be of a high technicalnature including work on pumps, chemical feed systems and controls. Thesuccessful candidate will be given tasks that require electrical,mechanical and Production facilities knowledge in addition to operationsof heavy equipment including a forklift and possibly a backhoe and otherduties as assigned by management.
Knowledge/Skills
Strong work ethic, time management and organizational and teammembership skills.Ability to communicate well and to work with minimal supervision.Good mechanical skills.Ability to start up, shut down, and make operating adjustments toall equipment for proper continued operation.Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time.Ability to lift and/or carry up to 75 lbs.Basic computer skills are required.Experience/Education
0-2 years in water industry.High school degree or equivalent required.Mechanical and/or electrical experience or training is desired.Certifications Licenses
Class C Water Operators License required after 2 years in position.Class A Water Operators License required after 4 ye rs in position.Class C driver's license and D.O.T. medical card required within 30days of being awarded position.Shift/Hours
