POSITION SUMMARY:
Marathon Petroleum Company’s Robinson Refinery is seeking candidates for a full-time Maintenance Supervisor- TAR Planning position, reporting to the TAR Maintenance Supervisor . This position is responsible for the overall planning and execution of Turnarounds at the Robinson Refinery safely, in a timely manner, and on budget. This position will be responsible for developing turnaround scope, building work packages, planning TAR Scope, and reviewing contractor P6 plans for consistency with Marathon Turnaround Best Practices . The candidate must be able to lead the team in safely executing work according to site Safe Work Practices, Refining Standard Practices and possess the skills necessary to effectively manage employee relations.
Relocation is approved for this position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee contract planners in the overall scope planning of Turnaround events in conjunction with all departments to ensure scope is captured properly on Turnaround Work List.
Provide expert guidance for iTAR and P6 planning to contract planners.
Steward iTAR planning metrics and planning progress reports to ensure jobs are being properly planned and communicated per Marathon standards.
Review and approve contractor P6 plans for proper resource coding, direct man-hours , constructability, duration, work order coding, etc before inputting into the master schedule.
Review WSAs, RFI’s, Engineering PRF Log, Work List, and P6 Primavera schedule on a consistent basis to verify alignment. Responsible for addressing corresponding planning concerns.
Review and approve all mechanical Turnaround scope of work including Valve Replacements, Piping replacements, Fixed Equipment (Exchangers, vessels, Towers, heaters) in Primavera.
Work with engineering to review new projects and give suggestions for constructability improvements.
Review and approve contractor bill of materials for consistency with standards and specifications.
Work with engineering and material procurement to order long lead / specialty material items.
Attend and participate in recurring turnaround update meetings.
Assist in development and review of contractor QA/QC packages.
Facilitate external P6 logic reviews with the help of TAR Scheduler.
Work to develop overall manpower and equipment hiring plans with contractors.
Drive consistency in development of master operations blind lists based on turnaround scope.
Manage field execution during a TAR and overseeing contractors and Marathon employees workforces.
Ensuring adherence to schedule, budget and safety statistics during a TAR event.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
High school diploma or GED is required. (Education must be obtained/completed prior to start date)
B a chelors degree in Engineering or technical field preferred.
A valid driver’s license is required .
5 years of related work experience in planning or scheduling for a department in a refinery, petrochemical or other related heavy industry is required.
5 or more years of turnaround planning and execution experience preferred.
SAP Plant Maintenance software experience preferred.
Supervisory leadership experience preferred.
iTAR experience preferred.
Primavera P6 experience preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Office -Word, Excel, and Outlook
Able to work off-hour duties such as plant shutdowns and routine on-call support.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time indefinite basis without the need for employment visa sponsorship now or in the future.
