Perform preventive maintenance on all hotel equipment with brief explanation or trainingPerform routine repairs on all hotel equipment including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, plumbing, HVAC and life safetyHave the ability to do basic power drops in meeting roomsBe able to re-key meeting rooms and solve lock problems in guestroomsHave the ability to install electrical, plumbing, pneumatic and mechanical parts into existing systems or upgrade with minor assistanceBe able to secure any energy source to all hotel equipment to prevent injury or asset damageGeneral working knowledge of electricity, steam, refrigeration, pneumatics and HVACUnderstand and follow all job SOP like Lockout / Tag-out, MSDS, and general safetyHave a general understanding of hotel life safety systems (Fire panel, Emergency Generator, Transfer Switch, Fire Pumps, Sprinkler System)Take equipment reading, meter readings, and material requisitions in a legible and orderly mannerLanguage skills: Have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules (i.e., Lockout Tagout,), safety awareness information (MSDS), operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to keep logs and to speak effectively to customers and associatesEach associate is expected to carry out all reasonable requests by management which the associate is capable of performingHave ability to paint, touch up/repair wood work and repair/install wallcoveringsJOB REQUIREMENTS:High school graduate or equivalentMinimum 1-year experience in customer service.Must have 3-5 years' previous maintenance experience.HVAC certification a plusBoiler certification a plusAstra Seattle is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
