Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Pay Rate : $38-42/Hour

Location : Merrillville, IN

Shift : 1st shift available

An establish foundry company located in Merrillville, IN is seeking multiple maintenance electricians to join their team. 401k and insurance benefits are offered immediately once hired.

Previous experience/schooling in heavy industrial maintenance and steel is required.

Description:

Performs a variety of electrical trade functions to include installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment.

Running of conduit for new lines and electrical installation of new machinery

Electrical lighting install

Performs checks and balances on machines to ensure the proper functioning.

Inspects, tests, and adjusts all systems, machinery, and equipment per maintenance schedule.

Designs and troubleshoots/modifies PLC and other digital control systems and software.

Perform diagnostic evaluations of equipment and repair as requested by service work orders.

Assist in designing and developing electronic controls to enhance production equipment through use of PLCs, various types of input sensors, and pneumatic/electrical output.

Responds to verbal or written instructions for safety and security calls regarding machinery.

Qualifications:

3+ years of electrical experience

Must be able to pass electrical examination for Town of Merrillville, Indiana.

Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
