SUMMARY: Magnesita is seeking a Maintenance Techs to maintain our diverse manufacturing facility by using proven troubleshooting and testing techniques. Daily activities include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues while using safe work practices. Candidates should posses the ability to quickly assess plant processes during a breakdown, communicate with equipment operators and then apply troubleshooting skills and knowledge to fix equipment.
DUTIES:
Testing electrical systems (ranging from 24VDC to 480VAC 3-ph) by using multi-meters.WeldingSupport Robotic Control Systems troubleshootingDemonstrate safe and proficient use of shop tools (both hand and power).Demonstrate an aptitude of mechanical systems.Basic understanding and ability to troubleshoot ladder logic programs.Participate in the improvements of plant equipment to maximize productivity.Ensure accurate completion of all necessary paperwork and/or documentation including PM forms, Time log, Baan work orders, Inventory system, etc.REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years experience in an Industrial EnvironmentMust possess strong Electrical, Mechanical and Analytical aptitude.Ability to read blueprints and schematicsAbility to multi task and prioritize workload and problemsStrong verbal and written communication skillsPerform duties in a face-paced work environment that will be hot, cold and dirty.Self-starter yet able to take orders as directed.Must possess the ability to work independent and make decisions without direct supervisionMust be at least 18 years of age and have attained a High School Diploma or GEDSHIFT: 3rd shift Monday through Friday
NOTE: This is an industrial environment and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, work in various positions standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and climbing stairs/ladders, as well as work in various weather conditions is required.
