About Mailroom part-time Prep Clerk

  Description

  FUNCTION: Open, sort, and batch mail by client name or shipper number as per department procedures.

  PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  Open and sort mail based on department procedures and basic processing requirements.

  Prepare mail for scanning by removing any staples, paper clips, tape, etc.

  Group invoices of same shipper number or client per client procedures.

  Apply appropriate scanning header sheets per departmental procedures.

  Forward grouped invoices to appropriate department.

  Other duties as assigned.

  SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  Ability to grasp and retain instructions.

  Good organizational skills.

  MINIMUM LEVEL OF PREPARATION AND TRAINING NORMALLY REQUIRED:

  High school diploma or equivalent required.
