The candidate must be able to operate and adjust manual, semi-automatic or automatic numerically controlled machine tools. The candidate must have the full scope of machine setup and operations. To include drilling, boring and milling, turning, etc. Must be capable of applying appropriate tooling and SOPs to maintain close tolerances. Primary Responsibilities:•Requires knowledge of machining techniques and methods and familiarity with computer numerically controlled machine tool operating procedures. •Works from programming instructions, operational data and machine setup instructions defining and coding tool arrangements, material clamping methods, machine calibrations and console settings, for operations such as bore, mill, drill, face, thread and occasional profiling and contouring.•Checks parts for conformance to specifications.Required Qualifications:•Comfortable working in a team environment.•Understanding of manual lathe operation.•Have an understanding or concept of CNC programming.•Must understand and be familiar with manual hand tools.•Good hand-eye coordination and mechanical skills.•Great manual dexterity and physical stamina.•Attention to detail, accuracy, and close tolerances.•Understand raw material flaws, defects, and non-conformance.•Excellent organizational skills.•Ability to read, understand, and interpret blueprints/engineering prints. •Basic computer skills required (ie, Microsoft word and Outlook)•High School diploma or equivalent. •Vocational schooling and an eagerness to learn are highly valued.•Salary commensurate with skills and experience. •Greater than 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position or role. •Required to work overtime as necessary.
