Key JobResponsibilities Troubleshoots, maintains, repairs or rebuildsmechanical machinery and equipment as needed. May performbasicelectrical duties under the supervision of a licensed electrician.May perform lubricator / utility duties as required. Receives workassignment, obtain tools and proceedto work site. Dismantles machine orequipment partially or completely and marking parts as required forfacilitatingreassembly. Diagnoses source of trouble and remedies byrepairing, replacing or adjusting mechanical orhydraulic partsas needed.Cleans parts and lubricates as needed. Completely overhauls machine whennecessary. Studies and comprehends varioushydraulic/electrical/pneumatic schematics. Tracing systems for variousfunctions to locate source of problem. Repairs Mechanical/Electricalequipment and high pressure spindle coolant systems. Checks and adjustshydraulic and pneumatic systems. Works in conjunction with Electricianon motors, control devices and other componentsof similar complexityincluding conduit and wiring as needed. Leveling, securing andconnecting as required. Expedites the making of repair parts, check andmaintain proper lube and coolantsystems. Drills, reams, taps, files andscrapes parts as needed to obtainproper fit and operation. Use arborpress and press parts together as necessary. May improvise parts ortools. Lays out work for welding, positioning of holes and othersimilarlayout work. Reassembles parts, fitting, adjusting, timing,leveling and aligning for proper mechanical and hydraulic functioning.Obtains required parts from storeroom or submits requisition to foremanas required. Performs preventative maintenance duties. Times machine forsequence of operation. Periodically aligns and levels machines whenneeded.
