　　Sinton Dairy Foods is seeking a reliable Machine Operator who takes pride in their work and operates with effectiveness and accuracy and understands and supports Safety in the Workplace. This position is a union hourly position with overtime eligibility. Shift will vary and may include evenings, nights, and/or weekends.

　　JOB SUMMARY:

　　Sets up and operates machine according to specifications.

　　Quality and safety minded, reliable and dependable, conscientious, precise and self-motivated. The incumbent must be able to plan ahead, multi-task, be diligent in filling out all paperwork, be willing to follow all safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP’s), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and perform other duties as assigned. Weekend and overtime work will be required based on production and operational needs. This position requires regular and prompt attendance during the working hours scheduled by the Department Supervisor.

　　KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

　　Machine operators will check all control points and check points before equipment is operated. If any problems are encountered, the machine will not be operated until proper corrective action has been performed.

　　Monitor Control Points (CP) - the points at which loss of control in any process will affect safety, quality, waste and efficiency. All operators are empowered with the authority to stop any machine or operation when critical control points are outside of acceptable parameters. It is imperative that a CP is returned to acceptable ranges before a system is restarted. With authority comes responsibility and accountability. It is imperative that all CP measurements are performed at the required times and frequencies.

　　Completes daily reports and documentation thoroughly and accurately.

　　Performs sanitation responsibilities as needed.

　　WORK EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE:

　　Experience in manufacturing food processing or production is preferred.

　　Excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize work across multiple tasks in a highly demanding and fast paced environment.

　　Applicants will be quality and safety minded, reliable and dependable, conscientious, precise, and self-motivated.

　　Forklift experience is preferred.
