  What’s a typical day as a Machine Operator - Production Milling Operator? You’ll be:

  • Loading and unloading items on milling machines, conveyors, film rolls, glue, and boxes.

  • Operating machinery used in the milling process to produce products with the instruction and assistance of a milling technician.

  • Placing products in milling equipment or on work surfaces for further processing, inspecting, or wrapping.

  • Examining products on the milling area to verify conformance to quality standards.

  • Starting machines or equipment to begin milling processes.

  • Checking, cleaning, and maintaining daily cleanliness of the packaging equipment and working areas to ensure strict compliance with safety, quality, and good manufacturing practices.

  • Taking physical counts on milling products and reporting them to the immediate production supervisor and/or milling technicians.

  • Maintaining a safe working environment consistent with company policies, procedures, and instructions.

  • Participating in process improvement programs in accordance with company guidelines.

  • Utilizing protection groups and following safety standards to minimize risks and prevent workplace accidents.

  • Following the policies, standards, and procedures of the company's safety and security systems to guarantee a safe working environment.

  • Performing as support to the milling technician position and learning key duties as needed.

  • Running, stopping, and performing various processes related to milling machinery.

  • Working other related duties as assigned.

  This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

  • Have 0-2 years of experience as a production packaging operator or equivalent experience.

  • Have knowledge of good manufacturing policies (GMPs).

  • Have experience in the manufacturing or food industry (desired).
