What You’ll Get to Do:
CACI is seeking a Strategic Operations Consultant to provide process consultation and support services to senior leaders and executives at Washington Navy Yard (WNY). This requires daily interaction with senior leadership and balancing multiple transformation initiatives and operations at both the strategic and tactical levels.
You will be part of a highly collaborative CACI cross-functional support team. You will support the future state business process improvements. You will provide support in planning, designing, and implementing strategic business objectives in alignment with our customers’ vision. This entails development of strategic partnerships with military leadership, government stakeholders, CACI teammates, and subcontractors and driving transformative process improvement initiatives to reach future state objectives.
More About the Role:
Assist with developing and influencing a systematic approach to optimize performance and modernize complex business processes to improve organizational outcomes.
Advise senior leadership on innovative strategies and industry best practices and methods to improve processes and drive transformational change in alignment with organizational goals.
Facilitate and lead planning, execution, and close-out actions for routine in-person meetings, teleconference meetings, and strategic off-site meetings. Capture key content and post-meeting actions.
Identify gaps, make recommendations, and document/integrate decisions. Recommend operational strategies and plans that will directly impact overall functional results.
Provide strategic advice and operational context to stakeholders and supply tools and methods to aid decision-making.
Work with CACI teammates to establish, track, assess, and internally/externally report metrics related to stakeholder goals and objectives. Maintain alignment with senior leadership.
Provide periodic updates, reports, and briefings discussing activities, observations, findings, and recommendations.
Provide administrative support as/when needed, e.g., draft meeting minutes, draft work products in multiple formats, perform data collection/entry, maintain and administer MS Teams workspaces, and complete research taskings.
Support/interface with customers via face to face, telephone, video conferencing, email, chat, and applicable online presence.
Work independently with limited supervision. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.
Work site will fluctuate between the CACI office and customer site; on occasion at home site (with prior arrangements).
Physical Demands: Normal demands associated with an office environment, including ability to work on a computer for long periods. Work may sometimes involve travel to an active industrial environment that may require walking long distances.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Must be a U.S. Citizen. Must have the ability to obtain a DoD Interim Secret security clearance and subsequent final DoD Secret security clearance.
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum 5 years of experience providing process improvement consultation, organizational development, transformation services, and/or support services in a large organization.
Minimum 3 years of experience working as part of a collaborative cross-functional team to implement senior leadership initiatives and strategies.
Experience facilitating meetings attended by senior leadership.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Training and experience in Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, Shingo, Prosci Change Management, or Theory of Constraints.
Demonstrated proficiency in the preparation, selection, organization, and presentation of information in a concise and coherent manner.
Willingness and ability to experiment and innovate new approaches to provide the highest caliber service to our customers.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with customers at all levels of the organization in a professional, effective manner.
Strong customer service orientation. Respectfully engage customers in a manner that achieves successful outcomes.
Ability to organize work efficiently and manage time effectively.
Ability to perform successfully both independently and as a team member in a demanding work environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Active DoD Secret security clearance.
Previous military service or previous work experience at a Naval Shipyard.
Certification in Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, Shingo, Prosci Change Management, or Theory of Constraints.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Experience conducting detailed data analysis utilizing Excel, Power BI, Power Apps and SharePoint systems.
