Job Title: Machine Operator Assistant
Job Description
Join our team as a Machine Operator Assistant and contribute to one of the world’s leading manufacturers of high-quality steel grating. In this role, you will be responsible for keeping the machine continuously fed with material, utilizing an overhead crane to transport coils of steel to the machine. You will collaborate with other team members to place coils on racks for machine feeding. Your primary role will be to provide production support to the machine operator, assisting with various tasks to ensure smooth operations.
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 months give or take depending on experience shown.
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in GARRETT, Indiana.
Work Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing environment which can be dirty and hot. Work hours for the 1st shift are from 7am to 3:30pm, and for the 3rd shift from 11pm to 7am. Overtime may start 2 hours before the shift and can include up to 10-hour shifts and occasional Saturdays. The dress code requires jeans, steel-toed shoes, and long sleeves.
