JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson seeksfull-time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join their Sleep Medicineteam in Iron Mountain, Michigan. This position works under the directionof Registered Nurses, advanced practitioners and/or physicians toprovide exceptional care to patients of the Sleep Medicine Center. Comply with bestpractices in nursing as well as established hospital policies andprocedures to render direct care of patients. Administer medications(oral and injectable) as prescribed by healthcare providers; monitorpatient for adverse reactions or side effects. Perform testing, such asblood glucose monitoring and venipunctures. Document and maintain dataon patient records. Maintain effective and professional communicationwith hospital staff, patients, and care providers at all times. Schedulepatient appointments, answer phone calls, complete prior authorizationsand maintain medical supply inventory. Flexibility to float to otherPhysician Services clinics as needed. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR. Graduateof an accredited school of practical nursing and Licensed PracticalNurse in the State of Michigan required. Wisconsin LPN License a bonus.Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, or ability to obtainwithin 30 days if hired. Previous nursing experience in a clinic, officeand/or outpatient setting preferred. Ability to manage a diverseworkload and prioritize tasks. Exceptional customer service skills witha professional demeanor that ensures trust, competence and compassionamongst patients and team members.
