As a licensed practical nurse (LPN) at Mississippi Job Corps, you will be responsible for providing preventive and emergency health services, as well as wellness education to students. You will evaluate, determine, and recommend appropriate medical, mental health, and dental services for the student population while ensuring compliance with all HIPAA laws and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.

Responsibilities:
Healthcare Services:Deliver high-quality nursing care to students, including administering medications, conducting health assessments, and providing first aid when necessary.
Collaboration:Work closely with other healthcare professionals, counselors, and educators to address the physical and emotional well-being of students.
Health Education:Conduct health education sessions and workshops to promote wellness and preventive care among students.
Documentation:Maintain accurate and up-to-date health records for each student, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
Emergency Response:Be prepared to respond to medical emergencies, providing immediate and appropriate care until further medical assistance is available.
Student Support:Offer emotional support and guidance to students, fostering a caring and empathetic relationship.
