  LPN Charge – Transitional Care at Mother Joseph Care Center

  Schedule: 1.0 FTE (40 Hours), Evening Shift

  Job description:

  This is a working supervisory position involving oversight of the assigned nursing unit. Supervises Primary Care Nurses and Nursing Assistants and covers in the absence or need of Primary Care Nurses. May participate in direct patient care by administering medication, providing primary skin care, assisting in modifying treatment regimen to meet patients' physical and psychosocial needs.

  Required qualifications:

  Graduate from an accredited nursing program

  Washington Licensed Practical Nurse upon hire

  National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

  Preferred qualifications:

  1 year long-term care or related geriatric experience with prior supervisory and/or teaching experience.About Providence

  Providence Home and Community Care (HCC) is a service line within Providence with over 8,000 caregivers and 2,000 volunteers serving nearly 200,000 people a year, in their homes, in clinics and in a variety of congregate living ministries across our seven-state footprint.

  HCC provides a full range of services and support for people of all ages, especially those facing chronic or life-limiting illnesses. Our core competencies include restorative care, longitudinal care and care through the end of life.
