Job Description
Basic Function and Scope of Responsibility:
This position is primarily responsible for working in conjunction withexternal logistics partners and Eurofins Business Units (BUs) asappropriate to ensure efficient sample receipt, processing, andefficient sample pick-up services to our clients as well as theeffective management of all supply chain activities
Essential Job Duties:
Level I - Minimum
Arrange the transportation of specimens to the laboratory.Track and trace shipments to ensure packages are picked up anddelivered in a timely manner.Create, communicate, and maintain process instructions to assure allsamples and products are moved in the most cost and time-effectivemanner.Communicate with lab regarding status updates as required andprovide solutions to problems that arise.Proactive communication on any shipping delaysDrive improvements in on-time deliverySupport and actively contribute to applicable continuous improvementactivities and initiatives.Level II - Fully meets the responsibilities of Level I plus thefollowing:
Print orders out of Starlims that need to be processed each day.Prepare orders, which include building kits and packaging orders.Input tracking information into StarlimsKeep shipping areas and warehouse inventory locations neat, clean,and well stocked.Level III - Fully meets the responsibilities of Level II plus thefollowing:
Prepare weekly/monthly reports for management review.Monitor and track BU courier expenses and continually strive to below-cost.Assist in development or implementation of established logisticspolicies and procedures.Ensure the most efficient and cost-effective outbound shippingapproaches are being utilized.Audit invoices from logistics vendorsAssist Inventory Coordinator with stocking and distributing ofmaterials/products.Track inventory so that reordering of supplies is handled in atimely manner.Create POs in Coupa to keep inventory at appropriate levels.Assist with specific month end duties in relation to counting ofinventory.Provide shipping support to all departments.Qualifications
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Level I - Minimum
0-1 year of relevant experienceHigh school diploma/GED required.Bachelor\'s Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred.Experience working in a fast-paced environment.Responsive problem solver and action oriented in a deadline-drivenenvironmentAble to work in a team environment and interact closely with teammembers.Goal oriented, with excellent time management and organizationalskillsExcellent interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectivelyand work efficiently with people at all levels in an organization.Excellent verbal & written communication skillsKeenly attentive to detailAbility to keep sensitive information confidential.High level of proficiency with PC based software programs, includingMicrosoft Office ExcelLevel II - Fully meets the qualifications of Level I plus the following:
1 y ar experienceWorks with moderate supervision.High school diploma/GED required.Bachelor\'s Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred.Experience working in a fast-paced environment.Understanding customs and issues that may arise to assist customersis helpful.Previous Logistics Experience preferred.Level III - Fully meets the qualifications of Level I plus thefollowing:
