About Logistics Procurement Intern

  The Coca-Cola Company's Global Logistics Services (GLS) team is excited to offer a summer procurement internship position. This internship is an ideal opportunity for students interested in a procurement, logistics or supply chain management career. The intern will assist the Logistics Procurement team in strategic sourcing, supplier management, contract negotiation and streamlining/digitizing operational processes. Each summer is an exciting time of year for the GLS organization. We host an annual Global Logistics conference in June, kick-off our annual over-the-road RFQ, where we go to market with nearly $1B in freight spend, and we plan for our annual carrier conference at the end of summer. You will have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of logistics in The Coca-Cola Company.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Assist with sourcing activities, including data analyzing, supplier research, and bid management.

  Participate in supplier evaluation and selection with a focus on performance, cost, and risk management.

  Support the Logistics Procurement team in designing and evaluating bid scenario and developing complex network modeling.

  Review and update procurement systems, databases, and market data.

  Work with Networked Organization to identify and execute process improvement opportunities.

  Support Global Logistics annual conference preparation and execution.

  Performing other duties in line with your study goals and procurement principles.

  The ideal candidate:

  Is energized, curious and eager to drive continuous improvement and process simplification. Listens well and is not defensive to feedback. Focused on delivering the best end user experience and eliminates barriers with speed.

  Needs to be able to interact with associates and leaders to effectively engage and communicate with associates across various cultures and global locations.

  Research best practices that can be used to drive productivity and associate experience.

  Flexibility within a dynamic work environment.

  Qualifications and Competencies:

  Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field of study with a final graduation date no earlier than December 2024.

  Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.

  Project Management - Ability to manage projects to ensure successful delivery.

  Ability to manage through ambiguity as well as lead change.

  Strong writing, communication, content capabilities and attention to detail.

  Familiarity with procurement concepts and e-sourcing is a plus.

  Ability to work in a complex environment, with multiple decision makers.

  The ability to work without close supervision.

  Demonstrates the ability to understand and apply complex concepts.
