We’re looking for a Logistics Planning Manager based in our office in Braeside, Victoria.
Purpose:
Directly responsible for the provision of services related to equipment, transport, and fuel.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service and building the best teams.
Ultimately responsible to ensure that customer needs are met to the highest standards.
Ensuring the coordination of activities between all team members.
Ensuring optimized activity coordination for the overall benefit of the customer.
Identification of training opportunities / training needs to maximize the potential of the logistics team.
Leads the team in the delivery of world class customer service resulting in measurable high customer satisfaction.
Collaborates and builds strong relationships with the operations team to build cross-team effectiveness and remove organizational barriers to strong teamwork, collaboration, in the delivery of all technical and logistical requirements.
Manages personnel related activities involving recruitment, orientation, personal development, discipline, and team building.
Drives improvements in delivering world class customer service and best-in-class process efficiency.
Key Role Activities
Manage the daily activities of the equipment, transport, and fuel scheduling teams, and International Logistics.
Provision of cover for equipment scheduling, transport scheduling and fuel scheduling as demand requires and in the event of absence and holidays.
Be responsible for the timely and cost-effective selection of equipment, fuel and daily logistics plans for the region.
Acts daily having safety as key priority for our business, employees, customers, and contractors.
Management and attainment of agreed KPI’s relating to equipment, transport, and fuel scheduling.
Work with work with large projects such as utility or event projects to ensure transfer budgets are delivered specific to contracts/agreements.
Achieve high levels of on time delivery thereby supporting high levels of customer satisfaction.
Manages & prioritizes all order execution activities related to equipment, fuel, and transport needs.
Manages priorities ensuring workload balancing and standard processes are the norm.
Intercompany related activities
Overseeing the organization of transport for all inter-company equipment movements; making efficient use of consolidated and back loads to improve vehicle utilization.
Overseeing the co-ordination of transport movements of the hire-fleet between countries and their depots.
Overseeing teams to ensure the necessary customs and cross border documentation is obtained.
Control of purchase orders, invoicing, and cost reallocation for all inter-company movements.
Contract and vendor management.
Contract management and performance management of all contracts hire transport and fuel suppliers within the region.
Control of all aspects of safety and compliance for any Aggreko owned transport fleet.
Ensuring that 3rd party providers are fully compliant with all Customer and Aggreko safety standards.
Reviewing the carriage recovery monthly; recommend, develop and implement new solutions to improve carriage recovery performance.
Liaises with supply chain in the identification of & negotiation with key suppliers.
Typical Experience:
Preferably a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a transport planning role, preferably in a logistics team leadership role.
Preferably degree qualified in relevant discipline.
PC literary in a Microsoft environment and ERP system.
Proven Customer focus with a strong sense of urgency for creative solutions.
Proven acute attention to detail.
Experience working in a geographically dispersed matrix environment.
Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced stressful environment.
Skilled at multi-tasking.
Excellent inter-personal skills Collaborative style with decisive, results-oriented approach.
Ability to self-direct and self-manage.
