The AWS Cloud Logistics team is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Logistics professional to manage day to day transportation operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join an energetic and driven team.
An ideal candidate has a background in transportation / freight forwarding / logistics and excellent data driven problem resolution skills. They have the ability to work with carriers / influence others, pull and analyze data with ease, drive process improvements, standardize processes, and eliminate the root cause of defects within the current systems. This job will require exceptional communication skills while having the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
Key job responsibilities
The position is based Dublin with a hybrid work set-up.
In this role you will:
-Coordinate day to day transportation operations to ensure all shipments are being managed in the most efficient way with the highest quality service to the customer
-Communicate with carriers (Logistics Service Providers) and internal customers
-Analyze data from numerous databases (using Excel and/or other data management systems) and perform reporting and analysis as needed
-Publish performance metrics to assist with driving business results
-Quickly and efficiently understand the business impact of observed trends and make decisions based on available data
-Identify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to drive efficiency in AWS’s transportation operations
-Work with multiple stakeholder teams in the Supply Chain to jointly solve problems and implementing standards
-Work within time constraints to meet critical business needs

Basic Qualifications
Work experience in the logistics/transportation industry
Experience managing relationships with or working for transportation providers within Europe
Experience using MS Excel based tools, spreadsheets and ability to navigate and interpret data
Preferred Qualifications
Qualification in logistics, supply chain, operations or related field
Experience in manufacturing, transportation, customer service, and/or distribution environments
Demonstrated experience with air, sea and road freight
Experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement
