We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Logistics Clerk in Georgetown, Kentucky. This position plays a critical role in our logistics and distribution team, dealing with dispatching, data entry, customer service, and managing freight carriers. The role requires an individual with a strong background in the logistics industry, who can effectively coordinate shipping and receiving activities. This opening is for a 2nd shift schedule of Mon-Fri 4:00p-12:00am.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the dispatching operations to ensure timely and efficient service

• Enter and maintain accurate data records related to logistics operations

• Handle customer service inquiries in a call center environment, providing prompt and accurate responses

• Manage relationships with freight carriers, coordinating shipping and receiving activities

• Assist in logistics and distribution planning, contributing to overall operational efficiency

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

• Resolve customer inquiries and complaints regarding shipping and receiving issues

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth logistics operations

• Implement logistics strategies to improve service delivery and customer satisfaction

• Adhere to industry regulations and company protocols regarding logistics operations.

Requirements • Proficiency in dispatching activities within the logistics industry

• Solid experience in data entry tasks, ensuring accuracy and efficiency

• Familiarity with logistics and distribution processes and best practices

• Customer service experience, preferably within a call center environment

• Knowledge of freight carriers and their operations

• Experience in shipping and receiving procedures, including the ability to handle paperwork effectively

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate effectively with various stakeholders

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency in using logistics software and other relevant computer applications

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• High school diploma or equivalent; further training in logistics or supply chain management would be a plus.
