Logistics Analyst

The Kuwait Regional Support Center supports organizations with a full spectrum of Defense Logistics Support and analysis. Candidates must have experience operating GCSS-Army and be able to pull and analyze maintenance and logistics data and make recommendations to improve performance. Candidates must also have experience with Army logistic procedures for material purchases, supply chain management, and the Shipping and receiving of materials using commercial and military ground, air and sea transportation.
How the Logistician will make an impact:
Conduct logistical support and provided direction in all areas of Procurement, Receiving, Identification, Records, Movement, Storage, Physical inventories, Reporting, Utilization, Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance and Disposition, Asset management. data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration, and related functions.
Operate the GCSS-Army system IAW Army regulations.
Create and update maintenance work orders, generate work order status reports and labor hour reports in GCSS-Army for management.
Provide support to technicians with the maintenance processing of opening and closing work orders.
Conduct periodic physical inventories IAW Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) of Government and Customer GFE/CAP/ASL assets to ensure accuracy of property records and compliance with property procedures and contractual requirements.
Create and update asset records in GDITs Asset Management database.
Dispose of materials at the DLAs and SSAs IAW contract and Army policies.
Experience in following the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation, FEDMALL and Govt Purchasing.
Perform material purchases using a Purchase Credit Card IAW Army acquisition policies using the Purchase Request/Purchase Order process.
Work with host nation and internet vendors to purchase supplies and perform reconciliations of all purchases made to include research, pricing development, data collection, analyzing and comparison.
Create DD 1149 Consolidating shipping orders and DD 250 Material Inspection and Receiving Report.
Create Hazardous material shipping documents for hazardous goods shipments and be willing to go through AMMO-62 Training.
Conduct, coordinate and track from end-to-end shipping and receiving of parts and equipment using Military and Commercial transportation services.
Perform packing and unpacking of shipment deliveries, preparing shipping documents, maintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments and consolidating shipping orders.
Assist in providing training for Program personnel and assigned Property Custodians/Hand receipt holders to ensure understanding of Property Policy and Procedures.
Perform duties as a TMDE Coordinator.
Maintain asset calibration due list and schedule for pick up and drop off of assets.
Work well with a team and have great organizational and communication skills.
Candidate is required to perform other additional duties and assignments in support the Contract.
Willing to travel.
Ammo-62 certification, Forklift operator qualified and experience with LIW are all pluses.
What you'll need to be successful:
BA/BS plus 5 years’ experience, (will consider other combinations of education, years of experience and cerfiticaitions)
Must have a current and active Secret clearance.
Must have a valid US driver’s License
Ability to regularly lift 40 lbs
Must have GCSS-Army certification.
US passport must not expire for at least 2 years.
Ability to pass CRC to deploy.
