About the Role & Team
As a Location Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for defining the strategic direction for each merchandise shop in your line of business. As the LSM, you are the liaison between the Operations team and the Merchandise teams, ensuring the priorities are aligned and communicated.
The Location Strategy Manager will report to the Manager, Location Strategy.
This is a Full-Time role.
What You Will Do
Define the short term and long term strategic direction for the merchandise shops under your responsibility. Strategies are defined using guest data, product strategies, operational feedback and financial data.
Develop the retail location strategy, supported by an analytical foundation, to justify retail master plan (rehabs, store closing/openings and new concepts).
Provide property specific strategic input to Merchandise Strategy & Merchandise Planning teams at critical quarterly milestone meetings.
Develop the floor plans and product flow calendar in partnership with Merchandise Presentation.
Own site level communication as the link to Operations and Commercial teams for alignment and execution of assortment strategy and marketing plan.
Analyze and review reporting on current business. Adjust tactics to address business trends. Review weekly and monthly reporting and create/communicate action plans to drive business performance
Quarterly, review upcoming product strategies and select items for each merchandise shop.
Drive property strategies for seasonal mix changes and events in partnership with Product Strategy and Visual Presentation.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Demonstrated business savvy through strategic development, concept development, business development, financial management, analytical thinking, and problem solving.
Demonstrated ability to create the vision for new opportunities and ability to build the business case to support.
Knowledge of merchandise planning, merchandise financials, forecasting, and trend analysis.
Strong merchandising skills (business development).
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Excellent relationship, teamwork, partnering, coaching, and mentoring skills.
Ability to focus on big picture vision.
Demonstrated ability to meet challenging deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to set priorities and timelines.
