Maczka Restaurant, LLC (dba "The White Buffalo Bar & Grille"), located at 41775 Ecorse Road, Suite 190, Belleville, MI 48111 Attn: Matthew Terrian; needs 5 Line Cooks at a worksite in Mackinaw City, MI for temporary, full-time employment from 04/01/2024 through 09/30/2024 for kitchen and cooking-related tasks. Duties: set up and stock food items and other necessary kitchen supplies. Prepare food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces. Cook food items by grilling, frying, sauteing, and using other cooking methods to follow specified recipes and standards. No education or prior work experience is required; on-the-job training available. $15.00 per hour. At least 40 hours/week, 8-10 hour shifts Monday through Sunday between 11:00AM and 10:00PM. Overtime hours may vary, and will be paid at $22.50 per hour. Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
Job order being placed in connection with H-2B application. A single workweek will be used to compute wages due. Workers will be paid weekly. Employer will make all deductions required by law. Subsidized meals during shifts and dormitory-style shared lodging is available in employer-owned housing at a rate of $20 per person per week (deducted from pay, if applicable), including utilities. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.46 p/day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 p/day with receipts.
The employer will provide workers at no charge or deposit charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
