Lighting Salesperson
Job Purpose:
The Manufacturing Architectural Salesperson role requires an individual that is ambitious and self-motivated with an eye for design. The primary responsibility of the Sales role is to form, leverage and maintain relationships with the lighting and design community across the country to create specification of Arktura products and to increase the reach of Arktura with a goal of driving increased revenues. This should be achieved both through individual client and rep communication and strategically fostering the growth of the existing sales reps annual opportunity close rates.
Responsibilities:
Be an expert on Arktura products to provide technical support for specification inquiries.
Communicate with internal sales team for product coordination.
Work with the network of sales reps in local territories.
Work with operations and sales to monitor open orders and guide prioritization.
With sales team, identify relevant projects, key players, and decision makers with the goal of increasing the frequency of Arktura product specifications by architects and designers during the design phase of projects and tracking specifications through to a completed sale.
Analyze sales statistics to identify areas of improvement.
Track results and trends regularly for business forecasting
Track toward sales goals and provide insight to increase conversion rates.
Provide feedback to product development team on meeting and increase quality standards.
Develop and grow relationships with key industry contacts including: Lighting Sales representatives, Electricians, Architects, Designers, General contractors and end users.
Develop sales strategies and techniques based on customer comments and market conditions.
Complete monthly directives based on management instructions and achieve measurable goals.
Requirements:
5 + years of architectural lighting experience.
1+ years architectural manufacturing sales industry experience.
Ability to understand, measure and work your way through architectural drawings.
Ability to work with (IES) photometrics and room calculations with tools that may include AGI or other related software.
Experience with low voltage and high voltage electrical experience
Experience with understanding light levels and making analysis based on project related requirements.
Familiar with industry standard lighting controls and programmability.
Comfortable with troubleshooting lighting issues such as product defects or install/applications causes – must be willing to have hands-on interaction on site.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Ability to prioritize, work independently, and manage feedback and expectations effectively.
Ability to develop proficiency on all products and stay current on trends to help contribute to the product development team.
Ability to travel 10-20% of the time.
Harness superior sales and customer service ability

The estimated base salary range for this role is $74,000.00- $98,000.00 a year. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors.
