LPNs are responsible for providing quality, routine,direct and indirect patient care for geriatric and/or disabled membersof WVHK. Examples of duties performed include: making criticalobservations of members; performing personal cares, treatments,medication administration and documentation; gathering patient data(e.g., blood pressures, pulses, accu checks); participating in themanagement of indirect care and maintenance of assigned unit orbuilding; and participating in activities which facilitate thedevelopment and achievement of unit, building, bureau and facility goalsand objectives. Hours/Shifts: Full Time (40 hrs/week) Part Time (lessthan 40 hrs/week) Evening 2nd Shift (2pm- 10pm or similar hours)Full-time and part-time positions require the availability to workvarying hours and/or overtime shifts as assigned. Job duties require theability to move, reposition and transport patients, stand and/or walk upto 75% of a shift. Duties also include ability to provide assessments,sit, kneel, stoop, make visual observations, lift, push, pull, carry,reach, maintain hygiene, use special safety equipment, and wearprotective clothing. Employment in this position is contingent uponpassing a pre-employment tuberculosis (TB) skin test. Employees at thishealthcare facility are required to report their COVID-19 vaccinationstatus, whether vaccinated or not, and provide supporting documentationif vaccinated. Newly hired employees will be required to submit thisinformation by their third day of employment.
