  How you make a difference

  The Mental Health Coordinator plays a key role in overseeing and coordinating mental health services within a facility,providingboth clinical and administrative supervision to mental health staff. Theyprovidemental health services directly to patients in the facility and offer consultation to other facility personnel. The Mental Health Coordinator ensures the delivery of high-quality mental health services and promotes the overall well-being of patients.

  Key Responsibilities

  Provideclinical and administrative supervision, direction, and oversight to mental health staff and services within the facility.

  Assign duties and clinical responsibilities to mental health staff,allocatestaff resources,supervise,andmonitorstaff compliance with policies and procedures, andprovidecoaching and disciplinary counseling.

  Providedirect clinical services, coordinates on-call mental health consultation services, and ensures provision of clinical evaluations as requested by facility administrative staff.

  Maintain patient confidentiality,providingin-service opportunities to staff, and developing and implementing corrective steps necessary to ensure the provision of quality mental health care.

  Assistin the development of policies and procedures, notifyappropriate personnelof clinical or administrative concerns, andparticipatein a system of 24-hour crisis intervention services when necessary.

  Qualifications & Requirements

  Education

  Master’s degree in psychology, social work or behavioral science field.Experience

  One to two years of experience in the coordination and administration of mental health service delivery systems preferred.

  Correctional healthcare experience strongly preferred.

  Coursework and professional experience that indicates knowledge of management/supervision techniques, mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosis and treatment of major mental disorders and/or psychological evaluation techniques.

  Licenses/Certifications

  Licensed to practice psychology, social work, or related field in the State by the appropriate state licensing board

  Must maintain CPR certification, and any other certifications (such as First Aid) required.

  Additional Details

  Schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
