Provideexceptional client service while mitigating operational risk and complying with bank policies and regulatory requirements, internal procedures and controls. Providing guidance and quality control reviews for tasks with extensive standby letter of credit product knowledge.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSReview letter of credit documentation, identifying terms and conditions to be satisfied, responsible parties, and ensuring performance of the due diligence required for the transaction.Structure and prepare routine standby letters of credit and their amendments with varying levels of complexity.Initiate renewal notifications, proper submission of credit approvals, client data form submissions for required satisfaction of all controls and processing of autorenewal transactions.Negotiate questionable aspects of standby L/C's and coordinate with Legal counsel when necessary.Convert guarantees (performance & bid bonds) to legally acceptable standby L/C'sReview of CL3, Loan IQ and credit approvals to ensure sufficient availability prior to issuance of standby letters of credit.Review Credit Agreements for reimbursement obligations and conditions for support of standby letter of credit activity.Assist clients and Relationship Managers in the processes for the issuance, amending and renewals of standby letters of credit. Discuss procedures, requirements, timeliness, pricing and approval process.Monitor assigned tasks within work queues for Letter of Credit requests assuring adherence to all Service Level Agreements. Ensure accurate status and up to date analysis on individual transactions for effective and efficient workflow. Engage appropriate parties for task execution and escalation as needed.Provide back-up/support as needed to others within LCS.With required experience, provide quality verifications and perform all related draw activities including examination, payment and reimbursement functions.Provide excellent client service and guidance through all phases of the issuance process, follow-up for inquiries and general correspondence from; internal partners, external clients and third parties.Act as product and process SME for Standby Letters of Credit applications, loan systems, processing systems as applicable.MARGINAL OR PERIPHERAL FUNCTIONSSupport ongoing initiatives to enhance letter of credit platform and servicing structure.Proactively identify process improvements to continuously enhance client service and documentation quality.Consult with attorneys regarding the structure of industrial revenue bonds and taxable adjustable-rate notes.Perform daily reconciliation of items from the L/C system (LCPS) to the Loan systems (CL3 and Loan IQ)Process other bank fees associated with correspondent bank actions under L/C activities.Handle various client inquiries related to standby letters of credit; counsel clients on products and refer to appropriate teams if necessary.Coordinate transactions with other Loan Servicing members, attorneys, and relationship management partners.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS2-year College Degree or equivalent experienceAbility to manage all aspects of standby letter of credit processing in a demanding production environment with time sensitive transactions.5 years of banking experience with standby or commercial letter of credit processing, administration or legal work experience relating to letters of credit.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills-must be a
