Description

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our client's boutique law firm in West Los Angeles. The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a law firm environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide calendar management for attorneys. Prioritize inquiries and requests while troubleshooting conflicts.

Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars.

Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics; coordinating case preparation.

Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.

Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and court proceedings.

Draft various legal documents such as contracts, depositions and pleadings.

Handle communication with clients, witnesses etc.

Requirements

At least 6 months of working experience as a legal assistant or legal secretary in a law firm

Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols, and court systems

Familiar with working in a legal office

Ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Paralegal certification or a bachelor’s degree in a related field is a plus
