  Responsibilities

  Kent E. Gorsuch & Associates, employees of the Law Department of State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, is seeking a legal administrative support team member to join the Discovery Team in our Detroit Claim Litigation office located in Southfield, MI. This is a great entry level legal opportunity. Responsibilities for this position will include providing administrative assistance to attorneys, paralegals, legal secretaries, and leadership. Job duties include reception area/phone responsibilities, processing mail, new file intake, ordering/downloading records, processing large Adobe documents, and other clerical tasks as assigned. The selected individual will be reliable, detail oriented, adaptable, resourceful, and team oriented with a professional demeanor. Hours for this position are 8:30 A.M.-5:00 P.M., Monday-Friday.

  The position is classified as a hybrid role. All employees have the opportunity to work remotely 2 days a week and must report to the office 3 days a week with the exception of recognized holiday weeks. Work arrangements could change over time based on business needs.

  Qualifications

  Civil Litigation experience is beneficialKnowledge and familiarity of the legal process, as well as legal and medical terminology is beneficialStrong customer service skills both in person and over the phoneAccurate and efficient in an electronic environment, including experience in Microsoft Office and AdobeAbility to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsApplicants are required to be eligible to lawfully work in the U.S. immediately; employer will not sponsor applicants for US work authorization for this opportunity.
