The Master of Engineering degree is a coursework and project-oriented program to help graduates lead people, make better decisions to advance their organization, and disrupt their field. It is heavily interdisciplinary in nature. Engineering Management requires both expertise in the techniques specific to the field and an understanding of how and why people behave as they do in the complex social systems in which they work.

This person will also assist directly with: outreach for the program, ensuring positive student experiences and student success, program branding image, and marketing. The successful candidate will have substantial expertise in project leadership or product management including non-traditional paradigms for project management and innovation leadership in an engineering context. In addition, candidates should have experience in finance, marketing, and negotiations/contracting in technological organizations. Skills and knowledge in strategy, technology road-mapping, and digital transformation efforts are also of interest.

The successful applicant will have 1) an undergraduate degree in engineering, or a related technical field; 2) an MBA, Master of Engineering, or a Master degree in a related field; and 3) at least 10 years of experience in leadership positions in engineering-oriented firms, ideally in entrepreneurial roles; and 4) at least one year of demonstrated teaching ability at the University level. Strong preference for candidates with demonstration of Leadership skills with a strong technical component in either middle or upper management positions. The anticipated start date is December 2023. The position is full time for a 5-year term and is renewable indefinitely. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
