The stuff you will do:
The learning technologies intern will work within the People Operations (HR) team, to support Learning & Development systems and technologies. Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) to run various learning reports, verify course completions, and perform system/data audits. Maintain course assignments for new users and run weekly data imports for integrated reporting. Assists in uploading and maintaining learning content in our Learning Experience Platform (LXP) and LMS. Curates monthly learning campaigns to promote online videos and courses via our LXP. Help lead and support our enhanced new hire experience by managing project deadlines, details for rollout, curating the digital learning path. Explore and evaluate opportunities to recommend and/or create people analytics dashboards from learning and HR systems. Support the department in the preparation and analytics of various reports. Advanced knowledge in Excel, including the ability to use spreadsheets, graphing, pivot tables, formulas/calculations, VLOOKUP, and automation efficiently to process large quantities of data relevant to business tasks.Work closely with internal business leaders to learn the homebuilding industry, the Meritage business model and an assigned functional area such as construction, land, marketing, operations, purchasing, finance, human resources, etc.Learn our core values and why they drive everything we doTranslate classroom experience into practical application during the internshipParticipate in cross-functional projects involving other interns and business leaders centered around current business challengesPresent real world business recommendations to senior leadership that can help drive our strategyWrite a paper focusing on the experience or another assigned topicMeritage Homes does not provide Visa sponsorship.
