Overview

　　This job is responsible for will work closely with the Lead Copywriter to develop and edit copy for marketing material while adhering to current brand standards. This Copywriter will support marketing department initiatives by creating assets from concept through to completion in relatively short time frames. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced marketing team.

　　Job Responsibilities

　　Work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines that can be short and urgent

　　Write and edit copy for emails, flyers, brochures, presentations, and other collateral

　　Proofread a variety of corporate and marketing materials

　　Absorb our brand and let it inform everything you write here

　　Understand the social media environment and write focused, compelling copy for it

　　Prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous projects

　　Collaborate to deliver exceptional work drawing on diverse, complementary skill sets

　　Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.

　　Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.

　　Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.

　　Complete other related duties as assigned.

　　Education and Experience Required:

　　Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years’ related experience OR in lieu of a degree, A combined minimum of 6 years’ higher education and/or work experienceEducation and Experience Preferred:

　　A portfolio showcasing your work

　　Have written for the finance industry

　　Appreciate that the best work takes teamwork

　　Strive always to improve their mastery of the craft

　　Prefer clear to clever and fresh to threadbare Ability to function and lead others effectively in a fast-paced environment, with frequently changing priorities

　　Strong, self-directed technical and design skills required

　　Financial Services experience a plus

　　M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $27.24 - $45.40 Hourly (USD). The successful candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
