Job Description:Responsible for the internal or customer administration, maintenance and management of capacity resources for computers at the operating system and infrastructure level. Builds, configures, troubleshoots and integrates new and existing servers to provide service enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure upgrades. Sets up administrator and service accounts, maintains system documentation, tunes system performance, installs system-wide software, and allocates mass storage space. Recommends software and hardware enhancements, diagnoses and corrects issues, defines and implements new services with the goal of achieving maximum server uptime and availability for the customers. Responsible for monitoring performance, system usage. Contributes towards the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP), backup systems and disk configurations. Conducts system analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies.
Essential Functions:
Configure, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot Red Hat Linux systems
Experience deploying infrastructure through automation
Experience in Creating and using Containers in a LINUX and Windows Environment
Experience with Gov Cloud/AWS
Familiarity with implementing and maintaining Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) in compliance with RMF security frameworks on Linux and Windows components
Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), agile system development, and DevSecOps tools and processes
Experience with installation, configuration and testing of applications such as Jenkins, Jira, Artifactory and Bitbucket
Experience customizing/optimizing/trouble shooting enterprise level applications
Security administration experience in support of RMF requirements
Demonstrated knowledge RMF and cybersecurity requirements
Ability to integrate RMF principles into ground-up builds
Experience with continuous integration, build management, and/or automated test frameworks
Work must be accomplished onsite
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience or,
Graduate Degree and minimum 7 years of prior relevant experience or,
In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 13 years prior related experience
DOD 8570 IAT Level 2 Certification
Top Secret Clearance with SCI and CI Poly
Preferred Additional Skills:
DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level 3 certification (e.g., CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, or GCIH).
Current Linux Certifications such as:
Red Hat Certification (RHCSA or RHCE)
CompTIA Linux
LPIC (any level) SANS GCUX
Experience with Virtual Private Cloud Configuration including Subnets, security groups, NAT and Gateways
Experience with Software code scanning applications such as Fortify SonarQube, Black Duck Trivy and Nexus
Experience with Elastic Cloud Computing
Experience in the use of IT tools for managing and troubleshooting complex computer networks
Previous experience supporting DoD & IC Government customers
Experience with continuous integration, build management, and/or automated test frameworks
Hardware/software requirement verification/system validation experience
Demonstrated ability to work and grow in a dynamic, fast paced, team-oriented environment
Experience with Virtualization (KVM), Backup Technologies such as NAS, SAN, iSCSI, SAS
Experience supporting DoD/government customers
Experience integrating and administering cross-domain systems
