This Sourcing Specialist is responsible for sourcing in DQ & CW Plant daily initiative, synergy, especially localization and negotiation for non-globalized commodity. This role also need a clear pictures of what the sourcing performance overall in deflation, EAC, Bowler, BCC, cash to achieve annual saving OP target. In this role, you will work with your oversea leader and follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning. Your work will be fully aligned with the global Sourcing strategy.

Essential Responsibilities
Identify and qualify new suppliers; act in accordance with GE Integrity and Sourcing policy
Analyze suppliers’ proposals (quality, price, capacity)Develops the strategy to execute cost reduction projects based on strategic imperatives of the business. Partners with business stakeholders and commodity colleagues to influence contract negotiations, drive process changes, and implement sustainable cost controls.
Proactively monitors risks, own escalations, mitigation and initiatives necessary for corrective actions
Understand overall sourcing strategy and respective strategy for assigned commodities including Harp/Module Baffles, Attachments & Supports, Remaining Materials (paint, packing, fasteners, consumables), shipping frame, proactively drive initiatives to meet Sourcing targets
Work effectively with Engineering, Supplier Quality, and site materials personnel on day-to-day problem resolution and opportunities for cost reduction
Work closely with Engineering on NPI projects including identifying new sources of supply,Drive supply base consolidation and supplier lead-time reduction initiatives on assigned commodities
Partners with the Global Commodity Leaders business sourcing leaders to ensure fulfillment, quality, drive productivity opportunities with supply base to capture additional cost out. Collaborates and develop negotiation strategies and drive negotiations to achieve stated goals and targets.
Assess supplier capabilities and make recommendations on supplier acceptability
Drive the evaluation process for business related commodity and suppliers for business or region
Prepare, present, and influence senior managers on current and future sourcing imperatives
Qualification
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, Minimum of 5 years' experience in Sourcing, Operations, Supply Chain and/or Commercial
Strong quantitative and data analysis skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills , Strong oral and written communication skills
Proven ability to manage complex projects and improve processes
Process driving experience such as CAP, Work-Out, process improvement, or quality is preferred (Internal GE employees only)
Six Sigma trained & certified
Proven ability to drive in a matrixed organization
