  JOB REQUIREMENTS: Lead Software Engineer - LEADS011240DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: The Lead Software Engineer is responsiblefor leading and contributing to the analysis, design, development,testing, documentation and maintenance of technical and softwaresolutions across the organization. Provides insight and recommendationsfor emerging software technologies. RESPONSIBILITY LEVEL: Implementsorganization\'s goals, may provide input into strategic goals forinformation technology software engineering. Conducts research,evaluates data, and reports on findings, supporting the development andimplementation of policies, procedures, and programs. Has familiaritywith the information technology software engineering budget, may provideinput into spending decisions, particularly as pertains to vendors,systems, and projects. Typically works on projects and initiatives thatspan 12 months - 2 years. PRINCIPAL DUTIES: 1. Leading and DevelopingTalent: May partner with coworkers to advance their development. 2.Project and Change Management: May serve as a team member, or subjectmatter expert, for formal or department projects. Contributes ideas andhelps develop solutions, while balancing demands of project work androutine job responsibilities. Engages effectively in change affectingher/him, communicating appropriately with supervisor. Follows through onlearning, skill building, and practice necessary to adapt to change. 3.Problem Solving: Light supervision; works independently. Periodic reviewof work by manager or direct customer. Researches, analyzes, andevaluates situations and reports on findings. Solves advanced problems.4. Technical Skill: Advanced knowledge of professional principles andskills. Comprehensive knowledge of principles, practices and proceduresof particular field of specialization. 5. Community Engagement:Champions Goodwill\'s community engagement initiatives. Aware ofGoodwill\'s community partner organizational and participates involunteer opportunities as pertains to role and interest. Participatesin industry/knowledge groups. 6. Assist in defining and executing ourtechnology solutions using strategic and visionary thinking to addressbusiness objectives 7. Provide technical leadership and ensure alignmentwith existing and new technology environment capabilities with a focuson optimizing performance and scalability 8. Ensure consistency and theappropriate level of reusability through the design of both technicaland software based solutions 9. Effectively analyze and troubleshootissues at the application or system level and recommends and implementsolutions to resolve complex problems 10. Actively lead the research ofemerging technologies and trends benefiting the advancement ofinnovative software solutions by participating in educationalopportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personalnetworks; participating in professional organizations. 11. Two years of collegeeducation or experience equivalency, and a minimum of 5 years\'experience. 2. Proficiency in a variety of programming languages,including C#, VB.NET, JavaScript and jQuery. 3. Excellent understandingof Microsoft SQL Server and relational database practices. 4. Excellentunderstanding of ASP.NET Web Forms and MVC platforms. 5. Ability toconduct research into software-related issues and products. CORECULTURAL COMP TENCIES: 1.
