Primary Role:
Responsible for the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance ofelectronic communication systems, with experience in VOIP, SIP, computerand networking systems. The Systems Technician is responsible forinstalling and servicing the systems in the most efficient and effectivemanner to assure minimum down time and maximum performance. Thetechnician is responsible for communicating system performance to thecustomer.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the final hookup and programming of electronicsequipment for new jobs
2. Responds to customer's service-related issues promptly
3. Tests and documents readings for customer's systems
4. Updates customer files
5. Troubleshoots and repairs electronic components
6. Responsible for handling on-call duties on a regular scheduled basis
7. Trains and instructs the customer on the proper use of the equipment
8. Responsible for reading and interpreting wiring diagrams,schematics, and blueprints
9. Responsible for operation of the following test equipment: VoltMeter, Ohm Meter, Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, Multimeter, andImpedance Meter
10. Assists with preventive maintenance of customer equipment
11. Responsible for accurate tracking on time sheets,service/installation tickets and
inventory items.
12. Full compliance with company's and customer's safety program
13. Serve as onsite SWC representative when Project Manager is notavailable
14. Trains owner as requested by PM
15. Coordinates with subcontractors and general contractors
16. Other duties as required or assigned by company management
Accountability:
The Sr. Technician will be accountable to the Project Manager. Secondaryaccountability will be to the other management team members, employeesand customers of the company.
Qualifications:
A two-year electronics degree or equivalent combination of education and1 plus years as Sr. Technician. Superior experience in the installation,testing and troubleshooting of equipment/systems. Experience with VoIP,telephony, data networks, wireless data, fire alarm, CCTV, soundsystems, or nurse call applications preferred. Cisco and Microsoftcertifications desirable. Possess and applies total knowledge ofequipment, systems and procedures. Ability to supervise technicians inan efficient and productive manner. Ability to manage small to mediumprojects. Rauland certifications move you to the head of the line.
Education Requirements
* Minimum: High school graduate. Must be able to read and write atBasic English proficiency. Must be able to compute basic math functionswithout difficulty. Can read CAD generated prints and buildingblueprints and riser diagrams. Has solid grasp of basicelectronics/electrical theory formal instruction is preferred. Isproficient ith PC and has proven aptitude in simple engineering andconstruction.
* Preferred: Associates Degree in Electronics, IT or ComputerProgramming; NSCA CEST Certification, NICET certification. RCDD andfactory training a plus.
Travel:
Some out of town travel may be required.
