　　Position Summary:

　　Effectively lead the department in the discharge of the duties as outlined, and efficiently answer and route all incoming calls. Must be able to deal with a high volume of calls, talk pleasantly with the public, monitor multiple alarm panels, use two-way radio as needed and aid the Unit Leader with evaluations.

　　Responsibilities

　　Prepares work schedules and assigns personnel to those schedules.

　　Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, and safety standards.

　　Prepare written reports and documentation as required by the department.

　　Responds to and resolves problems and complaints raised by physicians, patients, and staff.

　　Proficiently answers and routes incoming calls.

　　Monitors multiple alarm panels, code phone and two-way communications with security.

　　Uses overhead paging for personnel needs or page codes in an efficient manner.

　　Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested.

　　Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

　　Qualifications

　　Minimum Education:

　　None specified; will accept any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate possession of the knowledge, skill and ability needed to perform the essential tasks of the job, typically such as would be equivalent to a high school diploma or GED. Preference may be given to individuals possessing a HS diploma or GED.
