About Lead Nurse Instructor (BSN)

  The Practical Nursing Director is responsible for the administration of the nursing program.The Practical Nursing Director supports faculty and serves as a resource for faculty new to nursing education.

  Summary of Major Duties/Responsibilities

  Take responsibility for maintaining the quality of the Allied Healthcare and Practical Nursing Programs.

  Provide input and oversee the Practical Nursing Program budget.

  Serve as the Practical Nursing Program liaison in all concerns related to the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

  With input from program faculty and other college personnel, prepare self-studies, responses to deficiencies, and annual reports as necessary.

  Orient all new members of the nursing faculty and staff and assist them throughout the first year of employment as they prepare and teach their assigned courses.

  Teach a minimum course load at least one semester a year.

  Current registration as a professional nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

  Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN)

  Two years experience in nursing practice.

  Experience in nursing, nursing education, and educational administration, preferably in a Practical Nursing Program.

  The base pay for this position ranges from $84,000 to $105,000 and will vary based on factors such as skills and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation that JEVS Human Services provides to recognize employees for their work.
