The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for the industrialization activities of gears manufacturing processes. You will take full responsibility of the assigned hardware, developing the manufacturing plan and/or optimizing the existing one to achieve the required targets in terms of process feasibility and robustness, product quality, product cost and capacity sustainment.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Analyze quality KPI for the improvement plan of the assigned parts
Support concurrent engineering activities with the design engineers and/or with the customer
Define tooling/router design effort between external suppliers and Avio Aero Manufacturing Engineer
Drive suppliers of tooling during all steps from the concept to the functional test and related validation
Manage design and process reviews, to monitor the status of industrialization/ improvement plan for the assigned parts
Support operating personnel during the production of the first batch
Manage the technical validation according with internal procedures
Identify processes optimization to be implemented
Support Customer Quality Engineering for the anomaly report submitted to Customer and sustain Customer review of the proposed improvement plan
Bring new ideas and positive support to the current process
Develop and consolidate best practices and standards for gears manufacturing
Qualification/Requirements
Degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical/Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering
Previous and proven experience in a Manufacturing/Quality/Design role
Basic knowledge of principal machining operations
Basic knowledge of metrology principles applied to geometrical tolerances
Ability to read technical drawings and specifications
Ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and provide efficient solutions
Ability to manage activities simultaneously
Previous experience of work in a matrix organization
Fluent Italian and good English knowledge
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
Desired Characteristics
Experience in manufacturing Gears and mechanical parts
Knowledge of Non Destructive Test
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Prior experience with Lean Manufacturing
