Job Description

Leads and guides department staff in the performance of department cleaning and sanitation

Job Responsibility

Leads and guides department staff in the performance of department cleaning and sanitation.

Provides on-the-job training to current and new staff.

Explains and demonstrates various techniques, chemical and equipment usage, etc.

Inspects all department areas after cleaning to ensure established standards are met.

Perform cleaning functions following established procedures.

Uses proper cleaning supplies for each job, using appropriate personal protective equipment.

Collects garbage, cleans and re-lines trash receptacles with plastic liners.

Transports garbage to designated area and disposes of waste.

Adheres to state and county regulations for proper disposal of infectious and hazardous waste.

Maintains department's cleaning and sanitation quality control records.

Stores and maintains related tools, equipment, and chemicals in department.

Assists team members in determining methods and procedures for new tasks.

Makes recommendations to management on new processes, tools and techniques, or development of new products and services

Escalates issues to management, as required.

Job Qualification

Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience

Minimum of 5-7 years food service experience, required.

The salary range for this position is $27.89-$28.73/hour
