　　Embark on a pivotal role as a Lead Editor/Technical Writer, shaping the narrative of the groundbreaking initiatives undertaken by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). Join our collaborative team dedicated to modernizing the Joint Force Headquarters - Department of Defense Information Network (JFHQ DoDIN) security model through the innovative adoption of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA). As the Lead Editor/Technical Writer, you will play a key role in communicating the intricacies of ZTA implementation, ensuring clarity, coherence, and precision in all technical documentation.

　　ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

　　Lead and manage the creation and editing of technical documents, ensuring alignment with DISA's communication and documentation standards.

　　Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather information and translate complex technical concepts into clear and comprehensible documentation.

　　Develop and maintain a comprehensive library of technical documentation, including manuals, guides, and reference materials related to ZTA.

　　Ensure consistency, accuracy, and adherence to style guides in all technical documentation produced by the team.

　　Review, edit, and provide constructive feedback on technical content to enhance clarity and quality.

　　Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand technical requirements and effectively communicate them in written form.

　　SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

　　Proven experience in technical writing and editing, particularly in the field of information technology, cybersecurity, or related domains.

　　Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for grammar, punctuation, and formatting.

　　Proficiency in using documentation tools and software for efficient content creation and management.

　　Ability to work collaboratively with subject matter experts, engineers, and other stakeholders to extract and convey technical information accurately.

　　Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear and accessible manner.

　　EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & CERTIFICATIONS:

　　Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Journalism, or a related field.

　　Substantial experience in technical writing and editing roles, with a focus on cybersecurity or information technology.

　　Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, Zero Trust Architecture, and related technologies is advantageous.

　　Certifications in technical writing or related fields are desirable.
